My name is Father Joe Barron, and I am overjoyed to be the priest at St Isaac Jogues Parish and School. I belong to the religious institute called Pro Ecclesia Sancta, and our charism is to live and promote the vocation to holiness through the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I see that as what the Lord is asking of me here in this parish and school, to bring the love of His Heart to you all, and together as a family to strive to be saints!
A little bit about myself: I come from the western suburbs of Minneapolis, MN, from a large family: 7 boys and a 1 girl! Our family is big into baseball (watching and playing), and I love to play, and humbly consider myself proficient, in most sports, but especially baseball, basketball and football. In July 2023, I moved here from Minnesota, I am very excited to call this home. I look forward to getting to know you all. So please don’t hesitate to say hi if you see me. Know of my prayers for you all, and please pray for me as I strive to imitate Jesus Christ, our Good Shepherd, and lay down my life for my sheep.
“The Eucharist is the heart of the Church. Where Eucharistic life flourishes, there the life of the Church will blossom.”
~ Saint John Paul II
